Choose a menu and test prices using actual orders

Released-game guides + Update #4 changes · sources checked October 10, 2026

The short answer

Use the venue’s Statistics, Local Preferences and Menu Orders to decide what to serve. Check that the kitchen can produce each dish, then change one menu item or price and compare the result over the same reporting period.

A high selling price or popular dish does not prove profit. There is no verified universal markup or best menu for every district.

Choose for this venue, not the whole city

Whisper’s Ramen Noir observations show local preference categories and a Menu Orders report that separates dish orders and revenue. Use your venue’s current figures: a screenshot’s demographic shares and sales totals describe that session.

  1. Record the current menu and reporting period.
  2. Read local preferences as clues, then compare actual orders.
  3. Expand each candidate recipe for ingredients and processors.
  4. Check supplies and storage before activating it.

Test a price without inventing a profit formula

Record the current price, orders and available customer response. Adjust a single price, leave other menu and staffing choices stable where possible, and compare an equivalent service period. Note stockouts: fewer sales during a shortage do not isolate a price effect.

nivalishelp distinguishes meal economics from venue profit, but its displayed native formulas have not been independently verified here. Use actual purchase costs and the venue report rather than entering those formulas as guaranteed returns.

Finish the menu change at the supply settings

In Update 4, expand red recipe icons for missing ingredients or processors. The inventory marker shows which stock the active menu currently uses. Removing a recipe can leave unused ingredients taking up space.

Recheck the target, daily budget and shopping list after the change. Success is a producible menu with observed orders and an affordable venue result; improved revenue alone is an incomplete check.
