Where to buy plants and decorations for Ramen Noir
Buy a plant from a reachable home-furniture retailer and place it inside Ramen Noir. Neoseeker lists Eastern Residential, Central Canyon and Hive Mall as plant-shopping districts. Claire Volaince in Eastern Residential is the reported alternative to Central Canyon’s tier-locked Andrea Monroe.
The expansion quest calls for one plant and two decorations. A purchased item, an item placed at home and an item that merely looks botanical are not automatically the required plant placed in the restaurant.
Nivalis Nights / Comfort objectives
Seller → category → placement.
- Reachable retailer
Check district access and a Trading lock.
- Plant and two decorations
Match the objective, not just appearance.
- Inside Ramen Noir
Inspect the journal after placement.

Choose a reachable plant seller
| Option | What the guides report | Before travelling |
|---|---|---|
| Eastern Residential home-furniture retailer | Claire Volaince carries potted plants without Andrea’s Tycoon restriction. | Check the district is accessible in your current map. |
| Central Canyon home-furniture retailer | Andrea Monroe is listed as tier A, requiring Tycoon. | Being able to enter the district does not mean she will trade. |
| Hive Mall home-furniture retailer | Another reported source of plants/cacti. | Check access, item category and current availability. |
| Meridian Market hardware | Useful for decorative electronics/props, not the reported early plant route. | Separate the two decoration objectives from the plant objective. |
Different guides give different achievement-point thresholds for these districts. Read the actual map’s access message instead of treating one published number as the universal unlock condition. The district-access guide separates a points lock from first-visit and quest access.
Decoration category and comfort contribution are separate
The expansion walkthrough names the Jukebox, Clock, Nostalgic Radio and Vinyl Player among Beniamin Vang’s decorative items in Meridian Market. It also notes that smaller props can count as decoration without improving comfort.
Use the item’s category and effects to make the choice. A storage cabinet serves a storage task, and a green-looking grocery is not evidence of a placed plant. If you want both quest progress and comfort, inspect both rather than buying the first visually suitable object.
| Goal | Check on the item | Check after placement |
|---|---|---|
| Add a plant | The relevant plant/furniture category | Placed inside Ramen Noir and the plant objective reacts. |
| Add decorations | A decorative item rather than an ingredient | Two qualifying placements reflected in the journal. |
| Increase comfort | A comfort contribution shown for the item | Compare the venue’s current comfort/review situation separately. |
| Increase storage | Ordinary versus refrigerated capacity | Follow the storage objective instead. |
Complete the purchase-to-placement sequence
- Confirm that Increase Comfort is active in the expansion quest.
- Check which of plant/decorations is still outstanding.
- Visit an accessible seller and read the exact item and price.
- Take it back to Ramen Noir; do not install it in the Lowtown apartment by habit.
- Place it within the venue and inspect the journal immediately afterward.
- Complete the remaining placements and the final Level 3 step if the quest still shows it.
Keep the first placed object while testing a second rather than buying several more blindly. A blocked objective is easier to explain when you can name the item, placement location and current journal stage.
If the seller or objective remains blocked
A barter-skill message belongs to Trading, not the achievement points that let you enter the district. Try a documented alternative retailer rather than waiting for the wrong skill to improve.
If the item was bought but the objective is incomplete, check placement and task order first. If Banor’s business conversation has not occurred, the comfort stage may not yet be active. Follow the full expansion sequence before treating it as a placement bug.
Success is a matching journal update after the required items are placed. It does not guarantee a particular review increase; comfort, service and reviews remain different observations.
