Hire staff and assign the role your venue actually needs
Use a district job board, choose the venue, and compare candidates for the missing job. After hiring, open that venue’s Staff tab and verify the role and shift. An employee hired for the wrong role or scheduled outside service does not cover the backlog.
Neoseeker describes Cook, Waiter and Cleaner assignments; the separate Manager role needs that venue at Level 3.

Name the job before choosing a worker
Watch where a real order stops: waiting to order, waiting for food, finished food waiting for service, or uncleared tables and trash. These are different jobs. Missing ingredients or a processor can block cooking even when a cook is present.
The developer’s historical Update 2 task order prioritizes serving and production before cleanup and encourages specialization. Update 4 fixes chef action-speed influence and cleaner level/happiness performance. Do not use old speed comparisons as a current hiring ranking.
Verify the hire and assignment
- At the job board, select the intended venue and relevant role tab.
- Compare recorded skills, wage and preferred hours; keep room in the budget for ingredients.
- Hire within the venue’s displayed staff limit.
- Open the Staff tab and confirm the worker, intended role and service-time shift.
- Watch the identified job during service rather than assuming an occupied slot means coverage.
Judge coverage before adding headcount
Success means the previously uncovered job now progresses while ingredients and equipment remain available. If nothing changes, check task requirements and priority. If mood falls, inspect pay and preferred shifts.
This is not a best-worker tier list. Candidate availability, skill and wage depend on the employee and save; no fixed headcount fits every menu.
