Green Thumb walkthrough: the first greenhouse and all three orders

Released-game guides · sources checked October 10, 2026

The short answer

Discuss business with Banor during Noodle Bar Expansion, then meet Clem Hortelano at the Docks greenhouses. She gives you Greenhouse 2B and Onion Seeds. Harvest the onions, return to her, then grow Seed Potatoes before accepting the longer order chain.

The full quest continues through Sal’s vegetables, Ma Gomba’s mushrooms and Hanz’s Beef. Planting alone does not complete a harvest objective; keep the requested produce in inventory for delivery. The final conversation has story choices, described below with spoilers.

Nivalis Nights / Green Thumb quest

First harvests, then three orders.

  1. Clem and Greenhouse 2B

    Onions, return, then Potatoes.

  2. Sal’s vegetables

    4 Onions / 2 Cabbage / 2 Bok Choy.

  3. Ma Gomba and Hanz

5 King Mushrooms / 2 Beef; return to Clem.

Start Greenhouse 2B and finish the first two lessons

  1. Complete the relevant Banor business conversation and follow the Green Thumb marker to Clem in the Docks.
  2. Take the beginner lesson if you need it; the walkthrough reports both lesson routes granting the greenhouse and Onion Seeds.
  3. Go up the hill to Greenhouse 2B, enter and plant the seeds in a Root Farming Module.
  4. Return when the crop is ready and harvest it from the module. Check the journal before going back to Clem.
  5. Speak to Clem, then buy Seed Potatoes from Danko Lewis, the Docks seed vendor.
  6. Plant potatoes in the Root module, harvest them and complete Check Back with Clem.

A module, a seed and a Farming Console serve different purposes. If the greenhouse lacks equipment, the procurement guide identifies the starting sellers. The initial greenhouse is reported as rent-free in the current Farming guide; that does not make every later greenhouse free.

Quest-choice warning: the walkthrough reports that refusing Clem’s job offer twice fails Green Thumb. If you want to continue the order chain, hear the offer and accept rather than assuming every refusal is reversible.

Sal’s order at Fusion Point

Sal Magundi II works at Fusion Point in Eastern Residential. Reach the district using the requirement shown on your map, then tell him Clem sent you. His reported order is 4 Onions, 2 Cabbage and 2 Bok Choy.

Danko Lewis sells the quest’s seeds. Viola Melo, the Meridian Market Farmer, is a reported seller for the Generic module; its basic C version is the suggested early option in the walkthrough.

  1. Take Sal’s order before expecting its individual growing objectives.
  2. Acquire the required seed types and place compatible modules.
  3. Harvest each crop; watch the journal’s stage, not only the growth animation.
  4. Keep at least the requested quantities on hand. Do not deposit or sell the delivery stock elsewhere.
  5. Return to Fusion Point and complete Sal’s handover, then go back to Clem.

The guide records Spicy Lemon Chicken Feet Salad and Onion Soup rewards from this stage. Check the recipe list after the conversation; learning them does not require adding both immediately to the restaurant menu.

Ma Gomba’s mushrooms and Hanz’s printed Beef

The two Meridian Market orders
CustomerRequested amountProduction route
Ma Gomba5 King MushroomsKing Mushroom Spores and a Mushrooms Farming Module
Hanz Grundown2 BeefBeef Resin Pellets and a Meat Printing Module

Follow their quest markers in Meridian Market and take the orders. Danko sells the mushroom spores; Viola is named for the modules. Beef inputs are also reported at relevant Farmers/hardware sellers, including Piotr Turner in the Docks.

Mushroom modules are reported to need Farming Level 2. For Beef, guides conflict: the older quest walkthrough ties printing to the Level 6 perk, while the current Farming guide says Meat Printing Module C works earlier. Read the actual module’s use requirement before grinding toward an old perk description. Do not expect Clem’s later tier A gift to work like a basic C module.

  1. Check the actual module requirement, then plant the correct input.
  2. Harvest the requested items and keep the delivery quantity.
  3. Return separately to Ma Gomba and Hanz; their rewards are different conversations.
  4. After both orders, return to Clem for the Green Thumb conclusion.

King Mushrooms and Beef have contrasting condition preferences. You can grow them sequentially or use a deliberate greenhouse comparison once controls unlock. The orders do not require pretending both crops have the same ideal sliders.

Finish the quest and recognize the optional story branch

Story spoilers: the final return to Clem awards a Meat Printing Module A in the walkthrough. The current Farming guide reports tier A use requiring Level 14, so retain the gift until its displayed requirement is met.

That conversation can also introduce Project Grapevine. If you want the follow-up, ask about Clem’s situation and take her package. The walkthrough reports consequences for leaving without accepting it, and a later choice between making the Oil Rig drop and reporting the package to CorpSec. Those are story branches, not greenhouse upgrade controls.

This page finishes the farming orders and identifies the optional branch; it does not tell you that mutually exclusive outcomes can all be collected in one playthrough. Read the active journal before choosing, especially if the achievement or Clem’s story matters to you.

Crop planted, quest unchangedWait for readiness and harvest; planting alone is not the harvest objective.
Requested crop cannot be plantedMatch seed/input and module family, then read the module’s level requirement.
Crop harvested, customer will not finishCheck the active order stage and the required quantity still in personal inventory.

Eastern Residential unavailableResolve its live map access requirement while keeping the original venue supplied.

Success is the sequence of journal updates through the final return to Clem. Afterwards, use the harvest-to-venue route for ordinary restaurant supply; completing a customer order is different from stocking your own kitchen.
