Greenhouse modules refunded after Update 5: money, seeds and level locks

Update #6, October 22; reviewed October 24, 2026

The short answer

Update 6 refunds the base price of modules that became level-locked in Update 5. The developer adds a message showing how many modules were refunded and the amount. If a refunded module was growing something, its seed is returned to the player.

The note specifies base price. It does not promise reimbursement for every upgrade, lost service income or the entire cost of rebuilding a greenhouse.

Check the message before buying replacements

  1. Confirm your installed version includes Update 6.
  2. Read the module refund message and record its count and amount.
  3. Check which modules remain in the greenhouse and which requirements currently apply.
  4. Inspect your inventory for returned seeds from affected growing modules.
  5. Before repurchasing, read the current Farming requirement and compatible crop family.

Base price and upgrade price are different checks

Update 6 also restores display of module upgrade prices. That UI repair helps you see the price of the next upgrade; it is not a statement that all historical upgrade costs are included in the refund.

Compare the message with your actual wallet and module inventory. This source supplies no universal payout table or exact amount for your save. Do not buy another locked module just to see whether it triggers another refund.

Resume production with a valid module

Use the seed/module procurement guide to distinguish the console, module family and seed. Keep quest produce and replanting inputs separate from surplus restaurant stock.

If automation is active, check the selected crop and storage after the first cycle. Update 6 separately fixes automatic planting replacing crops incorrectly when storage is full. A refund does not itself establish that your venue’s greenhouse source is enabled.

If an expected refund or seed is absent

Keep the build, message, module type, current Farming level and before/after inventory in the same record. A module that you cannot currently buy is not automatically one the game removed in the Update 5 transition.

If the message and inventory disagree, retain the case as unresolved and report the specific mismatch. No forced refund command, save edit or guaranteed restart remedy is established by the patch.
