Use Greenhouse Stock: connect your harvest to venue restocking

Update #5 + October 16 balancing · sources checked October 22, 2026

The short answer

Open the intended venue’s Management Settings and enable Use Greenhouse Stock. Update 5 lets Managers use your greenhouse produce before buying ingredients. Enable it for each venue that should use those crops; harvesting and switching on a restaurant’s supply setting are separate steps.

The source must actually contain the ingredient. Produce left in your personal inventory after overflow is different from usable greenhouse stock, and an enabled setting does not guarantee that a fixed stock target can cover a busy service.

Nivalis Nights / Venue supply

One source setting. One venue.

  1. Exact crop in greenhouse

Check storage, not only personal inventory.

  2. Use Greenhouse Stock

    Enable in this venue’s settings.

  3. Target and budget

Quantity and purchase limits remain separate.

  4. Observe a real order

Verify the crop reaches its destination.

Connect one crop to one real menu

  1. Pick a recipe on the venue’s active menu and identify its exact missing ingredient.
  2. Use the greenhouse panel to check that crop’s module and readiness.
  3. Locate harvested output in greenhouse storage. If storage filled, inspect your main inventory too.
  4. Open the correct venue overview, find Management Settings and enable Use Greenhouse Stock.
  5. Keep a Manager assigned for the relevant operating period, and inspect the venue’s supply target and daily budget separately.
  6. Record greenhouse and restaurant counts, then observe replenishment and a real order using that ingredient.

Source, quantity and purchase budget do different jobs

Using a crop you grew can replace a purchase. It does not establish that every ingredient is free to produce, that the whole menu is self-sufficient or that wages and other costs disappear. No fixed delivery interval or Manager transport range is established by the update.

The Manager takes some stock but the kitchen still runs out

In the October 17–22 supply-chain thread, players describe Managers taking quantities that do not cover their venue’s busy period while greenhouses continue filling. The original poster reports Extra taking ten of an ingredient. This is a dated player case, not proof that every Manager is broken.

Compare actual consumption with your chosen target. The documented Extra target is ten, not an instruction to withdraw thirty just because the greenhouse has thirty available. Try a demand-sensitive target only after recording the menu and service period; do not assume it will solve every reported shortage.

If immediate service needs more, transfer a deliberate amount manually while retaining quest produce and replanting inputs. Avoid producing unlimited surplus to compensate for a venue-side target.

Verify the route instead of only the checkbox

A useful result is that a known crop reaches the intended venue and a recipe consumes it. Record crop, source count, venue count, target, budget used, Manager shift and time. If the greenhouse count falls but the venue still cannot prepare the recipe, inspect its other ingredients and processors.

If nothing moves despite matching stock and settings, keep the case unresolved and use the broader Manager diagnosis. A checkbox screenshot alone cannot prove delivery or a repair.
