Inventory diagnosis
More fridge space, ordinary storage and spoiled ingredients
Match the storage problem to the ingredient, then buy capacity of the correct kind. Ramen Noir’s More Fridge Space objective leads through Banor to another refrigerator; Extend Storage asks for ordinary storage furniture. Liddy Evans in Meridian Market is the named venue-furniture seller for both routes.
If a delivery did not fit, Update 4 sends it to main inventory. Find that stock before ordering another batch, and move ingredients that need cooling into suitable venue storage.
Nivalis Nights / Storage capacity
Which kind of room is missing?

Ordinary space is not a substitute for fridge space
| Problem | Relevant purchase or check | What would miss the point |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredients requiring cooling cannot be stored | Refrigerated capacity, such as Fridge Small or Industrial Refrigerated Storage Unit | Buying only ordinary cabinets. |
| Normal storage is nearly full | Cabinet, wall cabinet, shelf or appropriate Kitchen Island storage | Buying another appliance with no useful capacity. |
| A delivery is absent from venue storage | Check personal/main inventory and existing deliveries first | Assuming a purchase never happened. |
| Ingredients no longer used by the menu occupy room | Use Update 4’s menu-use marker, then decide what to transfer out | Removing stock still needed by another active dish. |
The October 2 patch says configured decorative furniture with storage counts too. It explicitly gives Kitchen Buffet 100 normal and 50 refrigerated capacity. That documented item is not a formula for every cabinet or fridge; inspect the actual furniture’s capacity fields.
Complete the two Ramen Noir storage tasks
More Fridge Space: when the warning points you to Banor, talk to him first. The walkthrough suggests replacing surplus normal storage with another fridge. Buy the relevant refrigerator from Liddy Evans and place it in the kitchen, then check the objective.
Extend Storage: inspect the ordinary-storage warning, acquire storage furniture from Liddy and place it at Ramen Noir. Cabinets and the large Kitchen Island are named examples. A purchase left in inventory is not the placement step.
- Read which storage objective is active.
- Record free ordinary and refrigerated room separately.
- Check whether a currently unused ingredient can be moved before buying.
- Inspect the furniture’s real capacity and price.
- Place it, reopen storage and confirm the objective/result.
You do not have to sell the old furniture blindly. The walkthrough suggests retaining useful units for a later venue. Moving an item and verifying the new layout is safer than treating deletion as a mandatory capacity fix.
Treat freshness as a supply and timing problem
The expansion guide warns that cooling-dependent food deteriorates quickly when fridge room runs out. The older developer patch also changes the priority of ingredient use toward older stock. That behavior does not make spoiled food usable or prove all spoilage complaints are fixed.
For a fishing or farming run, choose what the menu actually needs and plan the storage destination before collecting large amounts. Food in personal inventory is not automatically protected by an empty venue refrigerator.
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Exact ingredient and menu use | Avoid hauling food that the active venue cannot use. |
| Current inventory location | Venue storage and personal inventory are separate destinations. |
| Appropriate free capacity | Normal room cannot be assumed to satisfy cooling needs. |
| How much is likely to reach service | A larger pile can mean more spoilage exposure, not more sales. |
| Time spent away from the venue | Plan a return trip before another collection detour. |
Locate stock before calling it lost
Use the delivery destination check for stacked deliveries and overflow. Once you find food in main inventory, make appropriate room and transfer it manually. If neither location holds it, keep the purchase/delivery observations separate instead of assuming that every missing stack spoiled.
After adding capacity, success is usable free room of the correct type, stock reaching that room and the specific objective or menu requirement progressing. If shortages continue, review the supply target and actual consumption; more storage alone does not change a low purchasing budget.
