Read red recipe icons and find inventory your menu uses
Expand a recipe showing a red icon to see its missing ingredient or processor details. Then use the venue inventory and transfer window’s menu-use marker to distinguish ingredients required by active meals or drinks from leftovers.
Buying ingredients cannot, on its own, satisfy a missing processor requirement.

Read the recipe before changing supplies
- Open the active menu of the affected venue.
- Find the recipe with a red icon and expand its details.
- Identify whether the missing requirement is an ingredient, a processor or both.
- Check the required ingredient in venue storage and main inventory.
- If the requirement is a processor, inspect that requirement instead of assuming the manager should buy more food.
Use the menu marker to clear stock carefully
Update 4 marks whether an ingredient is currently used for meals or drinks on your menu. Use that information when inspecting full storage and when deciding what to transfer out.
A currently unused item may still matter for a recipe you intend to add later. The marker describes your present menu, so record planned changes before disposing of ingredients. This page does not recommend an optimal menu or catalog every processor.
Connect the recipe to the restocking settings
For a missing ingredient, check whether a vendor sells it and whether the venue’s daily budget can support replenishment. Compare the required stock with the selected target and shopping list.
For a full storage symptom, inspect whether the delivery moved into main inventory. Clearing a currently unused item may make space; it does not prove a manager purchase was ever made or guarantee that a menu becomes profitable.
Verify the menu can actually run
The immediate success check is that the expanded recipe no longer identifies the same missing requirement and the venue has the ingredients and processor it needs. Observe actual service as a separate check.
If the icon still reports a requirement you believe is satisfied, collect the expanded recipe, venue inventory, processor state and build in one report. A screenshot of the icon alone cannot explain which requirement is missing.
